i feel really lucky to have had certain people in my life who always treated me with respect and acceptance, no matter how much of an asshole and simple minded i came off as, and would call me on my shit without much sugarcoating. there is a certain someone who i consider a mentor of sorts for a portion of my life, an older brother i never really had, almost even a father figure in place of my own...
